Winter cold—
The lakes froze;
So did me.

A baby seal—
All alone;
So am I.

Glaze ice
Burdens the tress,
Like breaking me.

A kiwi roams,
Looking for home;
Lost like me.

A light,
Comes from far;
I try to get warm.

The night sky
Shivers like me,
In the winter cold.

Collecting the pieces
Of my broken heart,
I spend the night.

The sound of silence,
Deafens my ears;
Shut up! I say.

I try to write a haiku,
I write something;
I don’t know if that’s a haiku.
