The words not spoken
Had volumes to speak;
A world of love,
Or a world so bleak?

Those leaning eyes,
Those shaking lips,
Those held back thoughts,
Those tight grips.

Hiding from someone,
Who means a world to you.
Too close yet too far;
Too dear, too precious to lose.

Those heartbeats so fast,
Those bloodstreams that rush,
Those feelings that gush,
Those shiverings that pass.

With us, yet miles apart;
Miles apart, yet with us.
Hiding things we should have said,
The words, the words not spoken.
