Closing the windows,
Shutting the doors,
I lay inside
Crawling on the floors.

Hiding from the world,
Held by the moors
Of vanity, prejudice,
Temptations and lures.

I put out the lights,
I put on a mask,
I pretend to be someone else,
From dawn to dusk.

Veiled by a cover,
Stuck to a lie,
I forget sometimes
Who am I?
